Hi All

Back in the land of technology.

Paris stay was freezing but spectacular. Saw the Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, Champs Élysées
Arc de Triumph, Sacra Coeur all the notable places the Louvre. It certainly kept us busy. Did not like the Paris metro much preferred the London metro. We spent an extra night in a hotel closer to the city as we missed out on our first night of accommodation. Went up to the second level of the Eiffel Tower amazing but absolutely freezing. So many layers of clothes.

Picked up our cars on Sunday at the Charles De Gaulle airport and our brave drivers Amy and Samantha did a great job of getting us out of the city. It certainly is an experience driving in France. They have really good roads except for the smaller villages where there seems to be very little width.

We had quite a long trip that day out to Genets out near St Michel. Could see that they had had a fair bit of snow. We actually missed out on our stay near Bayeux as the place where we were supposed to stay had been snowed in. The army apparently had been clearing the beaches.
Arrived At Genets in a rather heavy hail storm. Stayed in an old fisherman’s cottage which was really nice.

Monday it was out to Mont St Michel still freezing cold. Such an amazing place and not too many tourists. Also went up to Granville and the coastline around Genets very pretty.

Tuesday we were off to the Loire Valley. Stayed in a really cool Gite right out in the country. It was close to all the places we wanted to see. Saw a few Chateaus once again it was overcast and cold.
